Description:
Environmental main campus of Syiah Kuala University is located in an urban area at Sub-District Syiah Kuala of Banda Aceh City, the capital city of Aceh Province. The main campus is located in the eastern part of the city around 9 km far from the city center. Banda Aceh city has a total area of 61 km2 with a total population of 259,910 or population density of 4,260 inhabitants per km2.
2. Total area on campus covered in planted vegetation
Description:
In general, USK have many kinds of plants throughout the campus area, starting from the entrance gate to the exit gate. One of the places with lots of trees is the monument area and park. However, there are many places surrounded by trees in each faculty. USK vision and mission is to increase the number of plants or trees around the campus, so that the environment becomes greener and sustains. In total, the amount of land covered by plant vegetation ranges from 30-40% of the total unsyiah land as of 1.371.937 m2.
